Fashion Crime at the Golden Globes

.....it may have been all about the movies and TV shows inside, but outside was all about the dress! The 69th annual Golden Globes saw some very interesting fashion dos and don’ts. Here are the nominees for the worst dress: Amanda Peet, Julianna Margulies, Piper Perabo and Madonna.

Amanda Peet just didn't get it right, her tiered Marc Jacobs creation looking like a table did her no favours whatsoever. And what was Julianna Margulies thinking in that Naeem Khan shiny grape gown? Seriously, not flattering at all. Madonna looked like a Christmas tree. Piper Perabo´s gown was bizarre, to say the least, she looked a bit like she got wrapped up in some net curtains. Honestly, you´d think they had got dressed in the dark! Don’t they have people to tell them what looks good? Why didn´t someone try and stop them from leaving the house dressed in such a manner? You just can´t get the staff these days. All these ladies deserve style citations, but which one was worst dressed?

Which leaves us with the best dressed, and there were some knockouts. Nicole Kidman was a little bit glamour and a whole lot rock 'n' roll in a body-hugging Versace gown. Kate Beckinsale, was drop-dead gorgeous in a simple white strapless Roberto Cavalli mermaid gown. Emma Stone and Reese Witherspoon both looked fabulous in their fashion-forward picks. Stone´s gown  was chic and modern in a plum Lanvin belted dress with plunging neckline, while Witherspoon looked stunning in a red form-fitting strapless dress by Zac Posen – the dark red dress was perfectly tailored and even matched her nailpolish.

And the winner of the worst dressed goes to: Piper Perabo
And the winner of the best dressed goes to: Kate Beckinsale
