Man goes on crime spree

The Guardia Civil arrested a 39-year-old man after he committed 11 crimes in four towns – three in Granada and one in Jaen – in less than six hours on Friday. During that time, the man – a known delinquent with 59 arrests on his record – stole three cars, tried to steal another three, made a failed attempt to rob a supermarket, stole from a bakery, drove recklessly and failed to stop when flagged down by a Guardia. His crime spree started at 11 pm on the Thursday in Baeza, where he stole a van, and ended at just before 5 am when the Guardia finally caught up with him after he robbed the bakery in Pozo Alcón in Jaén province. He is currently in jail awaiting trial.
