Mezquita to open at night
Four years after the project was first proposed, the Mezquita will open at night, starting later this month, to offer visitors an hour-long show of music and lights in one of Andalucia's most famous landmarks.
A spokesman for the Cathedral Council said the show would respect the nature of the building, which is a World Heritage Site. The project forms part of the “Soul of Cordoba” project, designed to attract visitors to stay overnight in the city.
