Four men were killed when a fire broke out at a fireworks factory in Benacazon, Sevilla province last Thursday and a fifth man who was seriously burned died later in hospital. The factory is a major source of employment in the town and is the main supplier of fireworks for Valencia, Madrid and Andalucia. The fire apparently started in a gunpowder store, setting off a series of explosions. The factory had passed a Guardia Civil safety inspection test only two weeks earlier.
