Police protesters eat their grapes

More than 20 Local policemen, their families and wellwishers celebrated the New Year, grapes and all, in the Palacio de Congresos in La Linea de la Concepcion where they had been staging a sit in for more than a week.
The men are demanding payment of their last five months wages and intend to stay put until January 6th at least. The rest of the council staff, who are also owed five months salary, have opted to wait until after the Day of the Three Kings before mounting their own protests.
