Rock divers to be fined

Matalascañas beach, Huelva. The Ayuntamiento intends to fine beachgoers who dive from a 7 metre high rock known as El Tapon (bottle cap) from €3,000 to €6,000 in an effort to avoid serious accidents. A spokesman said in the past medics have had to deal with too many head injuries. The rock will be surrounded by buoys to thwart divers.
