Lions support Caritas

The Mijas La Cala Lions were delighted to have the opportunity to support the Caritas charity through the club’s recent “One Kilo” Christmas campaign. Along with the cooperation of Alejandro Bejar, manager of La Cala’s Supersol store, club members volunteered their time over a four-day period in the week prior to Christmas to accept voluntary donations of suitable food products from shoppers.

Indeed such was their generosity that twelve trolleys were filled ensuring a happier Christmas for some of the area’s struggling families.
Thanks to all who contributed and the club looks forward to repeating the campaign next Christmas!
