The Royal British Legion Fuengirola Branch would like to thank all bars, restaurants and churches who recently helped in their 2011 Poppy Appeal.
The bar that raised the most in that period was the Bayside Diner in Los Boliches –their total was €352.
The top church collection was from the Church of Scotland and Friends who raised €602.50, a fantastic amount.
The overall total raised for the Poppy Appeal was €6.893,08 and the branch wishes to convey their thanks to all who donated and to all the helpers who contributed their time towards the Poppy Appeal.
On another note here is one of the upcoming social events the Royal British Legion will be hosting this month –on January 27th they will be celebrating Burns Night at Cristals.
The price is €20 which includes haggis, piper and a glass of wine.
