Calahonda Pet Dog School students and residents of Calahonda Urbanisation got together to discuss the problem of kind hearted people fostering stray dogs off the street and what they could do to help them.
In some cases these very people may have one or more dogs of their own and after a while find in financially difficult to feed the newcomer never mind their own dogs.
So… they have decided to organise a Charity Fun Dog Show & Fete to be held in the Parque España, Calahonda on Sunday June 24th.
All money raised on the day will go to buy dog food for rescued dogs that will be distributed from outside the Calahonda community office in the weeks after the event, and they are funding it from their own pockets so as all the proceeds from the day can be spent on the dogs.
They are looking for local business people to help them make their charity dog show a huge success this year. If you can help with: printing, flyers, posters, advertising, dog tags, prizes for the competitions, raffle and tombola please let them know as soon as possible.
If you feel you could help this very worthwhile local charity event then please contact Gary Joynson of the Calahonda Pet Dog School on 951 272 695 or 667 277 180.
