Oriel Flys Gib Flag

To honour the new Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo, Oriel College, Oxford have flown the Gibraltar flag. This is the first time the Castle  and Keys of Gibraltar has been flown at Oriel – in line with the tradition of hoisting the flag of countries whose prime ministers and political leaders attended the college. 
Picardo said he felt highly privileged and overjoyed that Gibraltar had made its mark at Oxford with the recognition of his electoral victory.     

Mr Picardo added he was confident that new entrants from Gibraltar would  continue to study at Oxford, Cambridge and other great British universities in the future.
