Following the opening of Bishop Caruana Road, an assessment of the vehicular and pedestrian movements in the area, including Europort Road, has been undertaken. Arising from this, two new zebra crossings will be put in place, one at the northern end of Bishop Caruana Road close to Bishop Canilla House, and the other by the northern end of Europort Road before it reaches the roundabout. Works to provide the necessary infrastructure for such crossings began on Monday January 9th and will continue for a period not exceeding ten days.

During this time, there will be some minor traffic flow restrictions whilst the necessary excavations and pavement alterations are undertaken. The Government would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the general public for any inconvenience these works might cause to them.
