Caught on camera

CCTV images have been released of people police want to talk to over the Boxing Day murder of a teenager in London's Oxford Street.

The victim, Seydou Diarrassouba, 18, was stabbed to death at the Footlocker shop on the busy shopping street. Detectives said they are keen to speak to a number of witnesses who were present at the time inside the shop and have yet to come forward. They released five CCTV stills - four from Footlocker and one from the nearby Forever 21 store.

Lloyds Banking Group is to claw back around 40% of former CEO Eric Daniels’ £1.45 million bonus payout he was given nearly two years ago due to the bank’s involvement in the mis-selling of payment protection insurance.  The state-backed bank will be stripping 13 of its executives of part of the bonuses they were awarded following the scandle that cost £3.2 billion in compensation claims. The bank will  announce more clawbacks for the 2011 bonuses on Friday.

Questioned

Stephen Farrow, 47 years old, was arrested on Sunday in connection with the murders of both Betty Yates in Worcestershire and the Rev.  John Suddards, 59, in Thornbury, Gloucestershire after a tip-off from the public. On Monday police were given more time to question the suspect until the early hours of Wednesday without charging him.However, they say there is evidence that links the two murders previously thought to be separate incidents.

Boy as a girl

A five-year-old boy who has said he feels he ought to be a girl is being treated and dressed as a girl by her family. Her school and family GP are also supporting the move. Zach Avery was three when he started wearing dresses and ribbons in his hair.
