World Cup goes to Shanghai

In an effort to persuade the Chinese to buy more Spanish products, Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero presented the World Cup at the Shanghai universal Expo where Spanish Day was celebrated on Monday. He told his hosts that the Spanish economy was robust and growing, just like “Miguelin”, the huge robot baby on display in the Spanish Pavilion. From China, Sr Zapatero went on to visit Japan in his first official visit to the two countries. He is due back in Spain on Thursday.
