TV actor speaks out at launch

Imanol Arias, the star of one of the most popular TV series ever, Cuentame como pasó (Tell me how it happened” told reporters at the launch of next series that he was not a Socialist, even though most people seemed to think he was.

The popular actor said that today's politicians are too media-conscious and worse than the politicians who took after the Constitution was approved in 1978. He said power is no longer vested in the people and democracy is almost a farce. For the past 11 years, “Cuentame como pasó” has traced the ups and downs of a Spanish family under the Franco dictatorship starting in the mid'1960s. The series has reached the late 1970 and Arias said it would continue until it reached the present day.
