Most feared bull 'Raton' dies

altBefore he retired two years ago, "Raton" (Mouse) was reckoned to be the most famous and feared bull in Spain after he had killed three men and injured dozens of others in fiestas up and down the country. He was retired and put to stud after fatally goring his third victim in a seven-year career at events called “bous al carrer”, when amateurs demonstrate their courage by dodging the bulls in the ring.

Olympic bid better than previous efforts

Madrid's bid to host the 2020 Olympic Games is an improvement on their failed efforts to secure the 2012 and 2016 editions which could mean "third time lucky" for the Spanish capital, the head of the visiting evaluation commission said on Thursday.
