After a successful and happy festive end to 2011 El Potro Bar and Restaurant would like to thank all their customers for their support last year and – following the maxim “if it's not broken why fix it” – they will continue to do so in 2012.
All El Potro's special nights will continue as usual starting with Quiz-master Jack on Monday night. Jacks quizzes have gone down well, they are a great way to meet new friends or to get together with your pals for a bit of fun. The quiz is quite challenging but not over the top, there is a buffet to enjoy and good prizes.
The Friday Curry Night is another popular event, for €10 you get to munch your way through all manner of tasty Indian food. There are six different curries, meat and vegetarian, all the extras, with Naan breads and chutneys too. As it is a buffet you can mix and match and go back for refills as many times as you find possible. With chilled lager at 2 Euros a pint and bottled Victoria just one Euro this is a very good value Friday night out, especially for families or with friends.
El Potro's flagship is their Sunday Carvery. Served all day from 1.00 pm until 9.00 pm there are five roasts – Ham, Lamb, Beef, Pork and Turkey – Yorkshire puds, roast spuds plenty of veg, lashings of gravy and all the trimmings. Priced at €12, you can eat your fill and still go back for more, what's more children and vegetarians eat for half price. From 3.00 until 8.00 pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays 6.00 until 8.00 pm there is an excellent 3 course à la carte “Early Bird Menu” with a half bottle of wine per person for €14.50. Plenty of choice with five starters, five main courses and four desserts.
El Potro is a large family bar and restaurant that's easy to find on Urbanization La Sierrezuela just outside Fuengirola. There is a separate El Potro Sports Bar that shows the Premier League and other sporting events.
