Fab food & flags at La Risa

Sunday was a big day in the La Risa @ Lauro Golf calendar as there was a big Diamond Jubilee party. The day was a sell out success with bunting and flags everywhere and Jason Oliver singing to entertain everyone – and entertain us he certainly did!

Meal choices were expertly delivered by owner Jan, her chef, Fritz and the girls and everything delivered was delicious. There were plates of paté with a fabulous sweet onion chutney, fresh salad and toast or you could have had a very large prawn cocktail. Mains were a choice of roast beef – a real Sunday lunch favourite, of course, or a delicious chicken salad with strips of marinated chicken and La Risa’s special dressing on the salad. Sweets were a Jubilee cheesecake complete with red, white and blue decoration or fresh fruit salad.

The terrace was packed with people enjoying themselves – usual for one of La Risa’s “do’s”– and we were all able to dance off just a few of the calories that we’d just eaten.
