SACAB?Coin annual horse fair starts today

From Wednesday April 13th the annual horse fair and show, SACAB Coin, starts. Held on the El Rodeo area just outside Coin town the event sees breeders from all over the country, together with carriage makers, saddlery and tack companies, feed and everything to do with horses you could think of.  There are many competitions and shows of equestrian excellence from now until the close of the show on Sunday at 9pm. Breeders bring hundreds of horses to the fair so, if you need anything for your horse, are thinking of buying one and haven't found one that you like in the ARCH rescue centre or just want to come and have a look at these magnificent animals, Coin is the place to be for the next few days.

The fair opens at 9am and horses will be arriving throughout today and until 8pm tonight to be booked in. Tomorrow, Thursday sees the first of the judging starting from 9.30am for 2-year-olds and from 4pm for 3-year-olds. The commercial area opens from 11am.
Friday sees the competitions for breeding mares of 4, 5 and 7-years-old and above, males of 4, 5, 6 and 7-years-old and over and at 9.30pm in the evening a show of equestrian art of Andalucia with the horses being put through their paces.

On Saturday from 10am there will be various shows and at 2.30pm there will be the 4th Sacabcoin Cup presentation folowed by the first procession through the streets of Coin of the horses and their carriages with a demonstration of these at 5.30pm next to the main exhibition tent. The last exhibition of the day will be at 9.30pm of the Andalucian horses.

The last day is Sunday when all the main competitions and prizes will be taking place from 11am until 4pm and the last Spectacular of Andalucian Equestrian Horsemanship. The whole exhibition closes at 9pm.
