Striker Lee Hughes charged with sexual assault

Notts County striker Lee Hughes has been charged with sexual assault.
The charge relates to an alleged incident in December at a hotel in Croydon, where County were staying the night before a match. The club confirmed the charge in a statement which read "Notts County can confirm that striker Lee Hughes has, on Monday, been charged in relation to an alleged incident in December of last year. The club will be making no further comment on this matter."
