Win for Axarquia Rugby Under -17’s

On Saturday 5th November, at the Fernando Hierro stadium in Velez-Malaga, Axarquia Rugby Under-17´s put on an impressive display of running rugby and skillful ball handling to defeat their league opponents Bahia 89 from Cadiz province, by 29-05 points, Earning themselves four points for the win, and an additional bonus point for scoring more than four tries. Axarquia Cadetes now move up to 3rd in the league and next Saturday, 12th November, host the team from Gibraltar Rugby Club. Kick-off is at 17.00.
The senior side fared less well on Sunday 6th November, going down 9-18 against Almeria Rugby Club and now face a tough away game against Jaen on Sunday 13th November.

Axarquia Rugby are  creating a strong club and really welcome all newcomers to either come and play or just to support.

Training for Axarquia  Rugby Club is held at the Fernando Hierro Stadium in Velez-Malaga every Tuesday and Thursday from 19.00 for the juniors and 20.30 for the seniors (all age groups welcome).
